Sun Yat-sen University (hereinafter referred to as “SYSU”) was founded in 1924 by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, a great national hero, patriot, and pioneer of China's democratic revolution. It is a comprehensive, research-driven, and internationally-oriented university. Rooted in the three core cities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, i.e., Guangzhou, Zhuhai, and Shenzhen, the University has developed a coordinated structure of three campuses across five cities and operates ten well-established affiliated hospitals.
SYSU offers a comprehensive range of disciplines and majors, and has developed an integrated academic structure covering humanities, sciences, medicine, engineering, agriculture, and the arts. Eleven disciplines of SYSU have been selected for China's second round of the “Double First-Class” initiative, twenty-one disciplines rank among the global top 1% in the Essential Science Indicators (ESI), and thirteen are listed in the global top 0.1%.

住宿费

因校内学生宿舍数量有限，自费学生需自行安排住宿。中国政府及各部门奖学金、中山大学国际学生校级奖学金获得者，按有关规定予以安排校内住宿。校内住宿费根据所在校区（园）、楼栋及房型不同，标准为人民币3000~18000元/学年（不含定额水电费），具体以“中山大学交费大厅”公布标准为准。
Due to the limited number of on-campus dormitories, self-funded students are responsible for arranging their own housing. Students awarded the Chinese Government Scholarship or the Sun Yat-sen University Scholarship for International Students will be provided with on-campus accommodation according to relevant regulations.
On-campus accommodation fees vary by campus, building type, and room type, ranging from RMB 3,000 to 18,000 per academic year (excluding fixed-rate utilities). The final amount is subject to the official rates published on the “Sun Yat-sen University Payment Portal”.

1. 身心健康，须达到办理来华学习签证或居留证件的体检标准。 2. 申请攻读学士学位者，应当具有高中毕业同等学力，学习成绩优秀，年龄一般不超过25周岁；申请攻读硕士学位者，应当具有学士学位或同等学力，学习成绩优秀，年龄一般不超过35周岁；申请攻读博士学位者，应当具有硕士学位或同等学力，学习成绩优秀，年龄一般不超过40周岁。 3. 对华友好，勤奋好学，成绩优秀，品行端正，遵纪守法，无违反校规校纪行为的记录，无治安处罚，无犯罪记录。 4. 语言水平条件申请中文授课专业：申请学士学位者，中文水平原则上至少达到汉语水平考试成绩（HSK）三级180分以上；申请硕士、博士学位者，中文水平原则上至少达到汉语水平考试成绩（HSK）四级180分以上。入学条件：申请人的入学中文水平原则上达到汉语水平考试成绩（HSK）五级180分以上。曾使用中文为教学语言获得中国高校学位的申请人，可提交学校开具的“中文授课证明”，经我校认定，可免除提交HSK成绩证明。 1. 1. 非中国籍人士，身心健康，品学兼优，有志于从事中文教育、教学及相关工作； 2. 年龄为18-35周岁（统一以2026年9月1日计）。在职中文教师放宽至45周岁； 3. 具有大学本科学历； 4. 中文水平考试成绩达到HSK（五级）210分及以上、HSKK（中级）60分及以上； 5. 提供毕业后拟任教机构工作协议或相关证明者优先。 1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens, with good physical and mental health, excellent academic performance, and aspiring to engage in Chinese Language education, teaching and other related work. 2. Applicants should be aged between 18 to 35 (as of September 1st, 2026). Applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers shall not be over 45 years old. 3. Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree. 4. Applicants should have an HSK (level V) certificate (with 210 points or above) and as well as an HSKK (Intermediate) certificate (with 60 points or above). 5. Applicants should be government officials at or above director level, academic institution leaders above director level in colleges or departments or administrators at equivalent level. 3. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. 4. Applicants must be under 45 years old (born after September 1, 1981) and have over three years of working experience in relevant fields. 5. Applicants must be proficient in English. Non-native English speakers or candidates whose undergraduate education was not conducted in English are required to submit an effective English proficiency proof (reference standard: IELTS score of 6.0 and above, or new TOEFL score of 80 and above). 6. Only applicants recommended by the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in the country that accords with the candidate’s nationality will be considered. 7. 1. 符合中山大学2026年国际学生招生简章的申请要求。 2. 学业成绩优秀。 3. 学历与年龄须满足以下要求：申请奖学金的本科就读者，须高中毕业，年龄不超过25周岁；申请奖学金的硕士学位攻读者，须已获得学士学位，年龄不超过35周岁；申请奖学金的博士学位攻读者，须已获得硕士学位，并具有一定的学术水平，年龄不超过40周岁。 4. 获得中山大学认可的生源所在国奖学金推荐机构或国际学生招生宣传大使的推荐（详见中山大学外国留学生办公室网站的相关信息）。 5. 中国政府奖学金、教育部中外语言交流合作中心项目奖学金、商务部公共管理（中国治理）硕士项目奖学金的获得者不具有中山大学国际学生校级奖学金项目申请资格。 1. Applicants of scholarship must meet the requirements as outlined in the 2026 Enrollment Guidelines for International Students at Sun Yat-sen University. 2. Applicants must have outstanding academic performance. 3. Applicants must meet the following academic qualifications and age requirements: Undergraduate applicants for the scholarship must be high school graduates and under 25 years of age; master's degree applicants must have obtained a bachelor's degree and be under 35 years of age; doctoral degree applicants must have obtained a master's degree and possess a certain level of academic performance, and be under 40 years of age. 4. Applicants must obtain a recommendation from an agency or an international students recruitment ambassador in their home country recognized by Sun Yat-sen University (see relevant details on the website of the Office of International Students' Affairs, Sun Yat-sen University). 5. Recipients of the following scholarships are not eligible for the SYSU scholarship for international students: (1) Chinese Government Scholarship, (2) scholarship from Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) under the Ministry of Education, (3) Ministry of Commerce Scholarship for the Master of Public Administration (Chinese Governance) Program.

资助内容

奖学金设三个等级：一等奖学金获得者，免交学费、提供生活补贴（生活补贴资助标准按学历层次划分：本科生每学年30000元/人，硕士生每学年36000元/人，博士生每学年42000元/人）；二等奖学金获得者，免交学费；三等奖学金获得者，减免一半学费。 The scholarship is divided into three tiers: First-Class — Tuition waiver, living allowance provided (Undergraduate level: RMB 30,000 per person, per academic year; Master's level: RMB 36,000 per person, per academic year; Doctoral level: RMB 42,000 per person, per academic year); Second-Class — Tuition waiver; Third-Class — 50% tuition waiver.

英文授课

申请英文授课专业，若母语非英语，须提交托福（TOEFL iBT 79分及以上，单科15分及以上）或雅思（IELTS Academic 6.5分及以上，单科5.5分及以上）的成绩证明，或其它能体现自身英语水平的证明。曾使用英语为教学语言的申请人，可提交学校开具的“英语授课证明”，经我校认定，可免除提交英语成绩证明。英语水平的具体要求，以各英文授课项目申请指引为准。Applicants applying for a program taught in English, whose native language is not English, must submit proof of English proficiency through either the TOEFL iBT, with a minimum total score of 79 and no less than 15 in each section, or the IELTS Academic, with a minimum overall band score of 6.5 and no less than 5.5 in each component. 　　Applicants who have taken courses taught in English may submit a “Certificate of English-Medium Instruction” issued by their school. Upon verification by SYSU, submission of English proficiency test scores may be waived.
